Chainbreakers is a WTF-only (women, trans, femme) night where fellow cyclists, commuters, or bike enthusiasts interested in fixing bikes can get together and support the community, hosted at the Bradley Street Bicycle Co-op. Our intent is to get more self-identifying women involved with bicycle culture, foster our community, and learn from each other without the atmosphere of a traditional male-dominated bike shop.
Bring your own bike, ask us about bikes, or just come hang out and learn with fellow lady bicyclists. Whether you are looking to fix a specific bike problem or just want to have a better understanding of bike maintenance, we want to figure it out together. Alternately, maybe you just wish you knew more WTFs to ride with? Us too! Come hang! We can talk routes, make plans, swap stories, whatev! ♥ We usually have some snacks and bevs and encourage this to be a potluck-style event.
Chainbreakers meets at the co-op every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm. See you there!
Women Trans* Femme (WTF) hours are open to anyone who identifies as female, transgender, femme, genderqueer, trans-masculine, trans-feminine, or feels that their socialization or treatment as a woman, transperson*, femme has impeded their participation in bicycle mechanics.
